Our Earth is the most beautiful planet in the solar system. When seen from space, earth is mostly blue in color, Brown, yellow, and green colors can also be spotted. The oceans and the light scattered by the atmosphere lend the Earth its blue color.
On the other hand, Mercury is grey. The grey rocks of Mercury can be seen as it has no atmosphere. The rusty rocks of Mars give it a red- orange color, since its clouds are rare and thin. Jupiter has orange and white bands. The white bands are colored by ammonium hydrosulfide clouds lend the orange color.
None of the four ' gas giant' planets, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune, have a soild surface. Hence, only the clouds in their atmospheres can be slighted.
Saturn is pale yellow with dark clouds below, Uranus and Neptune are blue, and their color comes from methane clouds.
