We need to do more than mental training to ensure that our memory stays fit as we grow older. Numerous studies have shown that people who do not exercise regularly and rarely walk for any distance complain more often of a deteriorating memory as they get older. It is a fact that exercise activates the brain and supplies it with more oxygen. It therefore makes sense that people who stay fit and active for as long as they possibly can have a better chance of retaining a good memory.
